Routine Checker
Many women experience nervousness or uncertainty before seeing a gynecologist. It entails accepting the fact that you have transitioned from adolescence to womanhood. A gynecologist can teach you how to listen to your body more carefully.
You can take control of your physical, sexual, and reproductive well-being with regular gynecological appointments, including birth control, childbirth, and menopause. An ob-gyn may also perform cancer screenings, treat infections, and perform surgery for pelvic organ or urinary tract issues.
Prepare yourself for your routine-check with our finest gynecologist:
General health examination: Your blood pressure and weight are taken by your nurse. You may also be subjected to blood and urine tests.
Physical exam: You are asked general health-related questions about your personal and family history. Your nurse leads you into the examination room and instructs you to undress. You are given a gown with a front opening and a sheet to cover your lap.
Pelvic exam: Your gynecologist will ask you to lie down on the exam table with your feet in special stirrups and your legs open so he or she can examine your vagina.
Pap test: A Pap test is performed during your pelvic exam. A small brush is used by your doctor to remove cell samples from your cervix. These cells are sent to a laboratory where they are examined for cervical cancer and other abnormalities. The term "Pap" refers to the removal of a few cells that cover your cervix. The doctor collects the sample with a special brush and sends it to the laboratory to be tested for the presence of abnormal cells.
Internal bimanual exam: Your doctor feels your cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries with one or two gloved fingers in your vagina and the other hand on top of your lower abdomen.
STD tests: If you are sexually active, you will be tested for sexually transmitted diseases.
